BIOME Master and Ph.D program was recently approved by the Ministry of Education in Brazil
and we have presently >50 students. The program is based in the Digital Metropolis Institute
and its main goal is to form professionals for both academy and industry.
BioME Research initiative is centered around its research groups whose interests include:
genomics, systems biology, proteomics, protein modelling, systems modelling, among many others.
The BioME team is composed of professors/researchers, graduate and undergraduate students
and a staff, which includes an IT-team, all committed to the three pillars of Biome: education, research and services.
Within our goal to promote Bioinformatics, BioME organizes events such as workshops,
meetings and short term courses. In these events, students and professionals have the
opportunity to either get an introduction to Bioinformatics topics or get a more specific
and deeper understanding of Bioinformatics topics.
